Why does hair grow faster in the summer?

I have a hair cut every 6 weeks winter or summer but in the summer my hair seems to grow quicker. Why is this?

i don't know that hair does that, but if it does that, it's probably because your pores are more open in the heat then they are in the cool or cold,thus giving more room for hair to sprout.

Your hair will grow at the same pace all your life. But the key factor is that in the winter your hair dryer and more brittle so it seams to stay together more(has more bonce(not enough for you to realise it though)). But in the summer your hair is more greasy so it is weighed down more(it has less bounce to it).

In winter you should use a moisturising shampoo and in the summer a volume shampoo

i think in summer we get to sweat alot and take alot of showers a day .. example :

in a day you would take two to three showers ( from head to toe shower.. and not half way ) and so the hair is also able to grow as well ..

the more you shower or take bath , the more the hair grows.... lol ...
