Why doesnt scar tissue grow hair?

especially on animals.

Why doesnt scar tissue grow hair?

I'm not sure about animals, but I when i was a baby i had to have skin taken from my outer thigh area %26amp; grafted onto my fingers, Unfortiantly the hair follicals survived...%26amp; i now get fine hairs growing inbetween my fingers. :-(

It's quite a talking point but it does breake the ice when meeting new (educated) people. :-)

Some people are idiots though %26amp; do jump to the wrong conclusion :-(

Why doesnt scar tissue grow hair?

No folicles

Why doesnt scar tissue grow hair?

The hair follicles have been killed or die. No hair can grow where the are no longer and follicles.

Why doesnt scar tissue grow hair?

because the skin cells are reproduces individually not copying sections of skin

one cell at a time then the next and the next and the cells that are doing it are skin cells

Why doesnt scar tissue grow hair?

Because scar tissue is a thicker non porous skin. It is just like in welding the weld is the strongest spot. There are no hair follicles in scar tissue so it can grow. There is also a very limited blood supply to support growth.

Why doesnt scar tissue grow hair?

BORED!
