How to grow new facial hair?

I'm 30 yrs old guy. I don't have much facial hair. It is surrounded only near my chins. I want to grow long Side Burns, but I can't because I don't have hair on that portion. Please tell me if there is some oil or lotion that will help develop new facial hair.

i know it sounds funny, but the more you cut hair, the faster and longer it grows.

so i agree with old mate.

as soon as you get a bit of hair, shave it for a month or two, then let it grow.

if you dont have much hair where u want the chops, still shave that bit too. will help in the end
