ok, try something simple first. You are VERY active, and sometimes we are so active that the oil called sebum which is produced from our skin can build up and become blocked. It will block pores and the papilla or bulb of our hair shaft. Then the pores are blocked the hair can not push through this heavy oil mass. So as i said early, go simple. I want you to find a local salon that sells hair clarifying shampoo. Not any thing either, you want Scruples. Its the best clarifying shampoo i have come across in my 10 years as a cosmetologist. You will wash your hair twice a day, lather and leave in for 5-10 minutes. This shampoo is designed to strip away build up and oils. I can't tell you how many men tell me they try all this stuff, it just builds up more! I get them an 8 dollar bottle of shampoo and they listen to what i tell them, next hair cut i swear i can see little fuzz coming in. Since your a gym buff you can also try Biotin 600 which you can pick up in GNC or vitamin world for about 10 bucks. take one daily. it creates thicker healthier hair and although not "proven" by scientist it does make your hair grow slightly faster. Talk to your doctor too if you are on medications, some will create thinning hair or stop growth all together. And if these do not improve your hair in about a month i would see a dermatologist. You may have a hair disorder. It could be just premature baldness. Then again, could be stress too. But start simple before you look into expensive treatments that often do not work they only create more problems. Best of luck!

You are going to think this is crazy... and I thought it was too but... olive oil massaged into the scalp. I thought my grandmother was a full on nut doing this to my grandfather. But apparently it stimulated hair growth. However you could just shave your head. It's rather a sexy thing to have a bald head. And blame it on your mother as from what i hear baldness is hereditary from the mother's side.

now is time to try medication...while you still have some hair. The minoxodyl solutions (rogaine) work very well if you catch it early. Its harder to make it work the more bald you get.

My nan always taught me to eat my greens and that would make my hair grow - she was the hairiest and scariest old woman in the home before she died.

Well if you are truely only going bald on the top of your head and your not telling us of your hairline. Propecia and rogain work only on the anterior and back of your scalp, so you will be in luck. buy rogain extra strengh and get on propecia

I am also a cosmetologist and would very much recommend Nioxin cleanser and scalp therapy. It is great and they now offer two different formulas for whether you are in the early stages or into a more advanced stage of thinning. It works well for everyone I have recommended it too and I use it my self after I lost hair due to stress. I am listing their websit below. That should start you in the right direction.

You aren't using a Pantene product are you? Seriously, I started losing my hair when I was using it. I went to a professional hair stylist and told her about losing my hair. The first question she asked was if I was using Pantene. I stoppped using it, my hair stopped falling out.

I'm a doctor.

There are only two clinically proven solutions to male pattern baldness:

1. Rogaine, 5% applied twice daily

2. Propecia 10mg taken orally once daily

These only help with baldness on the top of the head and have no effect on hairline balding. They also primarily preserve hair rather than causing regrowth.

For a more permaneant solution, hair transplantation can permaneantly restore a hairline and hair on the top of your head.
