I'm black and when i was younger i had really long hair. I lost my hair by putting a relaxer\perm on it too soon and all my hair broke off. It managed to grow back shoulder lenght but i want it down to my back.

Please keep in mind that I have coarse hair and certain products will not work for me.

Honey, Black , White, Yellow, or brown, I swear by braiding hair!!! That and keeping it trimmed from "Frey", or damaged hair!!! I do think this same rule apply's for all races!! My great-grandmother had the finest hair, very thin! But, it was down to her feet, literally!!! And my mother used to go too her house just to braid her hair, for her.. And somehow, my Great Grandmother would put it up in a bun, on the top of her head, when she went anywhere, and she'd put hats on and everything, you'd never think with those hats on, she had hair down to her feet, but I saw a photo of her, with it really long, to her feet. I just couldn't figure out how she could put it up with it being so long?! It must have been because it was so thin! HM? So, just get your friends, or sister's or your kids to braid it every night for you, and keep it trimmed, and I'll bet you, it'll start growing, faster!!! Good Luck to you, hun!! Smile!!
