Ok, so im a 17 yr old male. For some reason my neck and sideburns grow fast but no where else. I wanna beable to grow it on my chin, and jaw line.. so I could maybe go with a nice facial style such has chin strap, or a thin beard even. Why is it just growing on my neck and sides? My dad has alot of facial hair if he don't shave, but now that I think about it on my mom's side.. no one has facial hair. What could be the problem? Is it normal for facial hair to just grow in certain spots?

Everyone has a patchy growing pattern. I am 21 and have had a beard since the 8th grade, but it still grows faster underneath my chin and sideburns. My stache takes a couple of weeks to grow in. Jut keep it trimmed until it is long enough everywhere to style. No tricks to make it grow faster. You just have to deal with it.

I wouldn't wish for it so quickly at 17 unless you want to start shaving daily or twice a day... Believe me it will come...
You are still in the growing periods of your life and all your hormones haven't kicked in yet.
If you start shaving the fuzz off daily in these areas it will produce thicker growth and soon you will start to see more.
Give it time....you have the rest of your life.....
